Starting from scratch

Post by Brainsandblood »

Hi my name is Gabi and I just downloaded your asset “Intrigues” a few days ago. I love it and the demo is great but I didn’t see any tutorials on how to make a game from scratch. I was wondering if you could give me some pointers or maybe direct to some tutorials that could show me how to make my own game.

Also, my game is a harem based game and there are some elements I want to switch out like instead of “Culture” it’s “Status” and instead of “Policy” it’s “Personality”, I’m not sure if I’m able to do this as my game is more focused on an inner harem and not a world map system. There are concubines and maids and etc and my clans are “palaces”. The game is about a new concubine entering the harem and working her way to the top all while trying to survive.

I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hi Gabi,

Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about Intrigues. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it!

Regarding tutorials, there is a series on YouTube where I demonstrate how to set up Intrigues from scratch for a new project. Have you had a chance to check it out?

As for your second question, yes, you can definitely customize the system to fit your needs. You can change "Culture" to "Status" and "Policy" to "Personality." Policies in Intrigues essentially define the personality of families and clans, so if this functionality aligns with your needs, feel free to rename and repurpose these elements.

If you need technical support or have any questions during your development process, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll do my best to respond promptly.
Note: I apologize for any delay in my responses as I am currently working on a major update, which may cause some delays in replying to messages.
